Mahel Shah qualified as an optometrist in 2002 from Aston University and has gained invaluable experience through working at independent and high street opticians. He has also spent a lot of time working at specialist eye hospitals such as Moorfields, Central Middlesex Hospital, Northwick Park Hospital and Western Eye Hospital.

Mahel opened his first Ophthalmic practice in Preston Road in 2005 and the second Opticians in Waterloo in 2010 as he believed in giving his customers the best possible eye care whilst making the whole experience enjoyable and personal. With over 10 years experience, Mahel understands the importance of taking the time to listen to the concerns of patients and ensuring that they are fully addressed during the consultation. Mahel is actively involved in improving eye care in the local community.

In his spare time, Mahel is especially passionate about eyecare for children and works closely with local charities.

Rakhee has been in the optics field for more than 25 years. She has a wealth of experience in managing various different optical outlets and has applied her knowledge to set up this business with Mahel in 2005. She now focuses mainly on staff training and ensure smooth running of the practices.

Sonal has been with Opticalise for over 10 years and is fully proficient in all aspects of dispensing and customer care.

Sonal holds a Master of Commerce degree in Accounts and Business Management.

She is fluent in English, Gujarati and Hindi and is able to deal with patients over the phone and in person efficiently, having worked in a retail environment for over fifteen years. She also helps out in all general and administration duties to make sure our practice runs smoothly and efficiently.
